Adding and Removing files in Music Tag Tool

To edit tags in audio files using Music Tag Tool, first open one or more audio files to work with. You can add files to Music Tag Tool at any time by using one of the following methods...

Drag and Drop

Drag and Drop one of more audio files from Windows Explorer onto Music Tag Tool.

Open File

Click "Open File" in the toolbar. Alternatively, right click in the File List and select "Add Files" from the pop-up menu. Select one or more files to open in the file open window.

Scan Folders

Click this icon to make Music Tag Tool scan through your folders on your PC to look for audio files and add them to the File List automatically. Music Tag Tool will let you point to the folder where you want to start the search. Music Tag Tool will look for audio files in that folder and any sub folders.

Once the files are in Music Tag Tool - any files that have been modified in the editor are highlighted by red dots.

Once your changes to the files have been saved, these red dots will disappear. Changes to the files are made by clicking the "Save Changes" button in the toolbar.

Removing Files from the Files List

You can remove files from the file list by selecting files and clicking "Remove" at the bottom of the file list.

You can clear all tracks from the file list by right clicking the file list and selecting "Remove All" from the pop-up menu.
